My customers always say to me Mike I have a great looking website now how do I get people to come, I always tell them there is the long way or the short way?
The long way is word of mouth - every chance you get, every hand you shake tell them about the website, make sure you always have a business card in hand with the website address on it.. get blogs and go on social networking site like facebook.com, twitter.com and blogger.com and go to town get your name out there - this is the "true way" to go if you ask my opinion. People are sick and tired of conversation with e-mails and auto-responders - in today's society we don't have enough interaction with people as it is, at least with a social networking site you still have a some what connection!
The short way is paying someone to do it. There is allot of "cons" to this
#1 your paying money - most of the time business's don't have this added expense ex specially if your a small and/or up and coming business.
#2 most of the time you will look at your stats that are provided to you from your "seo company" and see a whole lot of visitor coming but "mysteriously" no ones buying your services or products? hmmmmm.. Well let me tell you why! because there are allot of " seo companies" that hire people to plug-in your website URL, stay on for a few minute and leave - giving you false hope that "people are really coming to my website. WOW ,, now let me ask you did you sell anything? I rest my case.

Website are a powerful and valuable tool they are your " 24/7 salesmen " I will always say get a website but keep in mind - your website is just like starting your business again "When you first started your business most compan'y didn't have the front doors come crashing down"! So get a website and give it time and soon you will see it generating business like you have never seen before.

I think there should be one(1) script or hack that complies with all browsers... without the "IE6" bug so on and so forth,
